National HIV Clinical Support Center

TrainSMART is an acronym standing for Training System Monitoring and Reporting Tool. It was first built in 2008 and currently been upgraded to version 4.0.

The web-based application is designed to collection data on training and aid both the national teams to monitor, evaluate, report and generate certificates in the areas pertaining to health. Its main role is to track data on training programs, the trainers and participants involved and eases the process of evaluating and reporting activities.

The application is built using open-source software tools which include Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP. It is accessible to users over the internet and employs user authorization, authentication and is role based allowing different user groups access to various functionalities.
